Welcome to the land of beautiful and majestic Himalayas. After your flight touches down at the Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Himalayan Planet Adventures will be waiting for you to pick you up and escort you to your deluxe accommodation. You will then be taken to our head office of Himalayan Planet Adventures following your freshening up and unpacking at your rooms. You will then be familiarized with the trekking destination, traveling partner/guides, route, and any additional information essential for the Annapurna trek in Skyline.
In the evening, you will be picked up from your temporary residence and given a traditional Nepali meal and cultural performance as your welcome dinner program meant for you by our establishment.
The second day of your trip will be filled with religious, historical, and architectural sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley. Your sightseeing includes three of the seven UNESCO world heritage sites that are situated in Kathmandu Valley. These three sites include Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath stupa, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square of Bhaktapur.
Pashupatinath temple is one of the important religious pilgrimage sites for Hindu people all around the world. It is visited by all the Hindu people at least once a year. It has allocated a wide area in both banks of the holy Bagmati river. The architectural temples and statues surround the area create a magnificent view of the old legacy that still exists. You can also see the cremation rites of people in the river banks and Sadhu Baba’s performing day-to-day activities.
The next site is the largest stupa located 8 km east of Kathmandu. The holy ground for not only Tibetan Buddhists but also people of other religions, Boudhanath Stupa is a massive dome surrounded by Gompas. The atmosphere around the region lightens up the mood as you can breathe in the scent of incense, the prayer of monks, and the sound of prayer wheels stimulating you from your very soul.
Finally, to your last destination of Bhaktapur, where you will visit one of the Durbar Square which is enlisted by UNESCO as a world heritage site. You can see the old architectural buildings around Bhaktapur. Here you will find the cultural and architectural panoramic view. The eye-catching views in Bhaktapur are Changunarayan temple, Lion Gate, Statue of King Bhupatindra, Dattatreya temple, Golden Gate, fifty-five windowed palace, Bhairavnath Temple, Art Gallery, and Nyatapola Temple.
The main event of your Annapurna Skyline trek starts from the second-largest city in Nepal-Pokhara. Today you will drive to the Cherapunji of Nepal and stay a night there. You will enjoy your journey towards Pokhara where you will head west of Nepal along the Trishuli River. You will observe the beautiful countryside view along with cultivated fields, and the typical life of Nepalese people. After reaching Pokhara, you can explore the lakeside views to your heart content and have a good sleep for your main event tomorrow, as Pokhara can be lively at night too.
Today your journey starts with a drive to Nayapol from which you will start your trek towards Tikhedhunga which is an easy-paced 4/5 hours of trek. Along the way, you will pass through Lumle village and then to Birethati. Along the way, you will see Gurung farm villages, Bamboo woods, and terraced fields. Walking along the Bhurungdi river you will reach Tikhedhunga. Overnight at Tikhedhunga.
Today your journey will take you through the stone steps along the cool shade forest of oak and pine trees. If you are through the path in March /April you will see the beautiful Rhododendron blooming with bright color. Today you will reach the village of Ulleri which is inhabited by Gurungs and Magars. Then head Banthanti and Nangethanti finally arriving at Ghorepani. The view of Dhaulagiri I, Tukuche, Nilgiri and Annapurna I is best from Ghorepani. Overnight stay at Ghorepani.
Your journey starts early morning where you will walk 45 minutes for a scenic view of the sunrise in Poonhill. You can view a long range of the Himalayas, a 600 km of views which includes Annapurna I to IV, Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Himchuli, Lamjung Himal, Macchapuchre Himal and many other naturals, centuries. After returning back to Ghorepani, you will then have your breakfast and head towards Tadapani which is about 5-6 hours of walk. On the way, you will have your lunch at Banthanti. Passing through rain and alpine forest and rhododendron woods, you will reach Tadapani. You can have a panoramic view of Annapurna South, Fishtail (Macchapuchre) Himal, and Himchuli peaks. Overnight stay at Tadapani.
Today is an easy trek where you will reach your destination of Ghandruk by lunchtime. On the way, you will pass through Bhasi Kherka. The path is paved with lush full forest and small streams. Reaching Ghandruk you will find yourself in a semi-modern village filled with mighty Gurung people, the Gorkhalies. In the remaining time, you can explore the place, its lifestyle, and culture and may try some local liquors prepared by the Gurung community. Overnight at Ghandruk.
Another day for an easy-paced trek with a beautiful mountain view and stunning scenery. You will cross the Kimrong river and reach the village of Jhinu Dada. After a nice belly satisfying lunch, you can enjoy the attraction that Jhinu Dada offers which is a bath in natural hot springs which will bring forth your power of youth and act as a treatment to your skin. The rest of the day is yours to explore the beauty given by the place and the cool environment that touches the heart. Overnight at Jhinu Danda.
Today's journey is ups and downs in steep hills and across suspension bridges. After breakfast, you will be crossing the Modi river at Phedi. You can observe the peaceful scenery and the sound of faunas and insects echoing you. On the way lookup for the honey-makers that are constantly on their work. Poking them can be a bad idea, so please do not provoke them. But you can see mighty Gurung people who are climbing up to get that medicinal honey risking themselves. You will have your lunch at reaching Landruk. Reaching Tolkha you will find yourself in a small village in a friendly environment. Overnight at Tolkha.
Your final day for a smooth trek is today. You will start your trek after breakfast. You will reach the highest altitude of the whole trip today at Deurali (Elevation – approx. 3200m). After some moments admiring the great Annapurna mountain and other snow-capped peaks, you will then move towards Dhampus. Dhampus is the final destination where you will be picked up by your ride and head back to Pokhara for your overnight stay.
Today you will wave your goodbye to the many Himalayas that you have admired in your trek and head back to Pokhara with the scenery the same but anew to you. You will have unforgettable memories of adventures, trails, cultures, and free-spirited Gurung people with you. You will be taken to your hotels for freshening up and relaxing yourself to soak in the memories. In the evening you can share your views with the Himalayan Planet Adventures at your farewell dinner.
