We in the initial section of the tour explore Paro and Thimpu, the capital city of Bhutan.  While exploring Paro, we hike up to Taksang Monastery also known as Tiger’s Nest. It is located on the lap of the mountain on the cliff. In fact, Bhutan’s most popular pride is Taksang Monastery.  This marvelous complex was built in 1692. It is said that Guru Rimpoche, who was a monk from Indian subcontinent resided here and meditated for three years, three months, three weeks, three days and three hours in the 8th century. So, Buddhists devotees regard Taksang Monastery a prominent sacred Buddhist site in Bhutan. In order to get it, we hike via forested area minimum for 3-4 hours all the way up. On the way, we celebrate awe-inspiring landscapes and mountain panorama.

Exploring Thimpu, the capital city by visiting museums, ancient cities, fortresses, and the local market will definitely be the blissful moment for the lifetime. We visit the National Textile Museum in Thimpu which the collections of ancient and historical objects which tell a lot about history, culture, and religion of Bhutan and mainly Buddhism. Simultaneously, visiting Tashichho Dzong offers us marvelous insights into ancient art, architecture, and civilization of Bhutan.   • 1 Days
    Arrive at Paro international airport and Drive to Thimpu

    Arrive at Paro International Airport. Take some time for refreshment or you can have some tea or coffee or light snacks. Our representative along with the guide will greet you at the airport. Next, we begin a drive to Thimpu. Visit Tashichho Dzong which was built in 1641. This is the School of traditional painting of the arts and crafts center. We utilize our evening time by strolling around the local craft center. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel. 

  • 2 Days
    Drive to Paro and Hike to Taksang Monastery (Tiger Nest). Visit Paro in the evening.

    Today’s journey begins after your breakfast in Hotel. We drive back to Paro. Now, we begin hiking via lush forest and magnificent landscapes to get Tiger Nest. If we fail to hike up, we can hire a pony from the middle of the path. In total, it takes around 5 hours to go up and come back. We will marvel at approaching this incredible monastery temple on the cliff of the mountain. Hike down from Tiger Nest and explore Paro in the evening. We will have dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    Departure from Paro Airport

    You will catch the morning flight to depart from Paro International Airport. The driver and the representative along with the guide will drop you to the airport. Arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before the flight time. See you next time.
